Did you wake up one morning and think, “I can’t wait to be enlightened?” Maybe not. You probably never thought about it, or if you did, you’re likely a lifelong meditator, yogi or living a spiritual lifestyle for the past 20 years or more.

Enlightenment Has Stepped Out

Enlightenment is the oldest personal development program. Traditionally, enlightenment is attained through meditation. It circulated elite circles in monasteries high in the Himalayan Mountains, Egypt, and around Jerusalem three thousand years ago. An intense meditation process honed over many years liberates the mind to experience life differently.

Enlightenment is no walk in the park. Forgiving, letting go of control, releasing masks and emotional armor, and going through ego death is challenging. Enlightenment can be accomplished with daily meditations and by actively working through limiting beliefs issues and the patterning from childhood. To get there, the controlling ego-personality needs to stand back, to free the view of who got hurt and release from the illusion, a one-sided fairy tale, a completely made-up and false reality keeping us stuck and unhappy.

The actual attainment of enlightenment is beyond any thought or feeling. Although there is love, it is not about love; it is not about being worthy, although you feel excellent. Enlightenment is a change in perspective that, at this point, the ego-mind will not allow you to see.

  • I will never make a difference.
  • Good fortune is mainly due to luck
  • I avoid pain by watching TV
  • I avoid pain by drinking

  • Who do you think you are?
  • Life is challenging
  • Relationships take too much time
  • Don’t rock the boat
  • Relationships are painful
  • I blame myself for what happened
  • I don’t deserve to be happy
  • It’s too much work

Limiting Patterns

Patterns control all functions in the body and mind.  The mind reacts to neuro-patterning to create ideas and concepts you live by. Patterns form from repetitive thoughts and unresolved feelings. Why you’re married to your husband or wife is a pattern.  Why you chose your career is a pattern.  Disease is a set of patterns.  All of life and the universe are created by patterns. It’s a pattern that leads you to the divine.

Unresolved issues cause a pattern of disharmony in energy fields and your nervous system.  This wobble in the nervous system begins to slow energy from connecting to organs and muscles.  Overtime, the nervous system wanes further, and the life force slows.  You experience unexplained fatigue, and the physical body begins to break down.

If you listen carefully, you’ll hear your subconscious patterns.  Everything said that’s limiting, fearful or diminishes personal ability is a limiting belief pattern in the subconscious.  Meditation aims to become aware of these thoughts and beliefs and resolve them.  Although helpful, meditation alone can’t get you to a conflict-free existence. You’ll need to actively address the subconscious patterning.

The ego develops momentum in the subconscious mind from buried life experiences.  Once you become conscious of events and actively work on changing your mind, you are more in control of the ego.  After an experience takes place, it filters down into the subconscious mind.  The feisty ego starts to create stories about anything unresolved.  Think of the ego as a drama queen (king) because it likes to exaggerate things.
